PERSEUS, an automotive foundational software company, has received the Technology Innovation Award in the Automotive Hypervisor category at the 2026 Korea Trusted Innovation Awards, jointly hosted by JoongAng Ilbo and Forbes Korea.
Now in its 11th year, the awards highlight companies and organizations that have strengthened their competitiveness through new technologies, services, and management approaches. This year, 38 companies and organizations were selected across the award categories, including special awards. PERSEUS was named among the recipients in the technology innovation field.
PEGASUS, PERSEUS’s flagship solution, is a Type-1 automotive hypervisor supporting both CPU and MCU architectures. It enables multiple operating systems to run in safely isolated environments on shared hardware, with hardware resources allocated and managed for each virtual machine. This allows functions with different requirements to coexist on a single platform. PEGASUS has also achieved ISO 26262 ASIL-D functional safety certification, supporting its use in automotive systems with demanding safety requirements.
As software-defined vehicles (SDVs) evolve toward centralized and zonal computing architectures, foundational software plays a growing role in consolidating functions and maintaining reliable system operation. Running functions with safety and real-time requirements alongside other software requires careful isolation and resource management. PEGASUS provides a virtualization foundation to address these needs.
Drawing on its experience in embedded systems and virtualization, PERSEUS develops technologies that operate below the operating system layer to support automotive system safety and efficiency. The company will continue advancing PEGASUS and its foundational software technologies to help customers and partners develop and integrate SDV platforms.
